Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation: illuminating foundation, dimensional radiance, weightless perfection.
A luminous formula:
2012. Yves Saint Laurent marks a turning point: incorporate the magic light of Touche Éclat into a foundation.
Classical foundation formulas contain varying amounts of opaque powders that ensure a diffused reflection. The negative drawback? A "mask" effect that can be a real problem, especially on darker skins, which tend to look grey.
Now, for the very first time with Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation, Yves Saint Laurent has succeeded in resolving this by replacing the opaque powder with a soft focus gel. It forms a diffusing and translucent film on the skin’s surface that smoothes away imperfections without ever masking the skin. Its key asset is to ensure skin colour purity.
In addition, instead of mother-of-pearl particles often used in foundations to produce a mirror-like reflection, Yves Saint Laurent opted for the latest generation of fluid light concentrate obtained with golden pigments that are associated with supple lamella placed side by side like infinity of mirrors. On the skin, these lamella form a reflective film to brighten shadowy areas and highlight the features, maximising the potential power of light.
Infused within a weightless fluid, Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation conceals imperfections and offers an illuminating result that defines the contours and enhances the facial features.
The skin’s natural colour interacts with the elements in the foundation to bring out a natural-looking and sophisticated radiant result.
A weightless texture:
Fresh, fluid, ultra-fine and silky, it evokes the perfect texture of Touche Éclat. It instantly ‘beautifies’ the skin with transparency.
The high percentage of volatile oils and moisturising agents give the skin instant comfort, with a caressing effect that evokes the transparent and fluid couture fashion of Yves Saint Laurent. The texture unfolds with finesse, sculpting and shaping the face like an invisible, custom-tailored garment. An ultimate pleasure for all.
The colour of the complexion, a social and cultural symbol:
Understanding people all over the world, Yves Saint Laurent anticipates their desires and defines four universal make-up strategies in terms of the complexion:
- The golden complexion. The aim is to warm the complexion, to make it look less pale and more tanned.
- The healthy glow. This consists of slightly heightening the complexion’s pink tone.
- The complexion in synergy with the skin. A foundation colour chosen to exactly match the skin, for an impeccable tone-on-tone result.
- The brightening effect. To lighten the complexion and reduce spots.
Directions for use: There are two ways to use Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation. Using fingers as you would to apply a face cream or with a foundation brush for a more sophisticated finish. Place a small amount on the back of your hand and apply in smoothing strokes from the center of the face outwards, knowing that you have to insist on the median zone. Then, a touch below the eyes where the skin tone is never very uniform, followed by delicate pats with a brush for a more covered effect. And do the same for imperfections – like a spot or blemish. Finish with a light touch of powder, but only on the T-zone - to avoid dulling the illuminating effect.
