This cream/paste has moderate, pliable hold but it gives a really nice texture to your hair. If you want more hold you can always use a bit of hairspray afterwards. It works well on my fine hair when it's very short, so I guess the result would be even better on normal hair. It has a nice classically masculine scent and a little goes a long way.
