Manuka Honey, unique to New Zealand, has incredible and reliable health-giving properties and can be used as a natural remedy to assist with an array of health conditions. Dietary Methylglyoxal or MGO forms naturally in the Manuka plant nectar ready for collection by the bees.
Dietary methylglyoxal is found in significant quantities in only some Manuka honey produced from the wild, uncultivated Manuka plant in New Zealand. The MGO scale measures actual levels of the compound Methylglyoxal whereas UMF is an approximation.
MGO™ Manuka Honey is labelled based on the minimum Methylglyoxal content (mg/kg) it contains. Methylglyoxal is the active compound directly responsible for the antibacterial activity of any Manuka honey and the MGO™ rating clearly indicates the minimum level of this compound in each jar. No other system of measurement gives such a clear and simple indication. The higher the Methylglyoxal content of MGO™ Manuka Honey, the stronger the antibacterial activity. For instance MGO™ 250+ has 2 1/2 times more antibacteiral content than MGO™ 100+.
Directions for use:
Take one teaspoon (5g) of Manuka Health MGO 100+ Manuka Honey Blend 10+ 30 minutes before a meal, 3 times daily. Intake can be increased if necessary.
