InStyle Best Beauty Buys 2013: Best Shampoo for Oily/Combination Hair "Most shampoos for oily hair leave lengths dry and brittle," says hair guru Luke Hersheson, who's worked with Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss. "This one strikes the perfect balance, clearing excess oil at the roots while leaving lengths soft."

Kérastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo is a favourite of Elle’s Beauty Director, Emma Smith:

“Oily scalp and dry, coloured hair? Join the club. This shampoo deep cleanses your scalp yet detangles your hair. It is great if you work out lots like I do so shampoo lots but don’t want to strip your colour or dehydrate your hair.”

Kérastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo is a smart balancing hair bath for combination hair, oily roots and sensitised lengths and ends.

- Deeply cleanses the scalp.
- Selectively nourishes the sensitised parts of the hair fibre.
- Hair is left naturally soft, silky and shiny.

- Salicylic Acid: Deeply cleanses the scalp.
- Lipacid (patented): Regulates sebum production.
- Cooling Agent: Scalp feels fresh.
- Vitamin B6: Nourishing properties.
- Detangling Substantive Polymer: Selective nutrition to sensitised areas of the hair fibre.

Wet hair thoroughly. Apply Kérastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo. Massage through the scalp and hair using the flats of the hands and complete the gentle massage technique, emulsify and rinse thoroughly. Blot-dry. Re-apply using the gentle massage technique and leave for a few minutes. Lather by adding a little water and gently emulsify before rinsing thoroughly. Towel-dry.

Early days to say for sure but promising...

Excellent 27/05/14

the only hair shampoo that can control my greasy hair and a little goes a long way.

Excellent 26/05/14

Godd smelt nice will buy the conditioner next

Poor 08/05/14

Didn't do what it's meant to do - help with oily roots/dry ends. My hair still feels and looks the same and I need to shampoo just as often as when using other products. Can't get a nice lather with it either so will not be buying this product again.

Excellent 20/03/14

Great product

Bad 02/03/14

Is there any way of returning this product as I paid nearly £12 for it and it's absolutely terrible, it's supposed to cleanse and balance your hair (and was in the 'greasy hair' section) but it's dreadful, my hair is more greasy than ever.

Good 02/03/14

only used product once but seems very good and my hair doesn't seem as greasy on the 2nd day.
