The Legend
Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe skin, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective is a combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy in one of its first cosmetic uses, and vitamin E. The apricot coloured balm was so beneficial to her clients, Miss Arden used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance - a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "eight hours later" the skin was all better.

This is a must-have in my purse!

My mother has used this for years, on scrapes, bug-bites, burns, sores, everything!
A couple of years ago (I am 23 now) I started buying this myself. I mainly use it on my lips as it is perfect if you are dry, sore, flaking, etc. But it is also great as a lipgloss!
Of course I also use it on myself or others whenever needed (burns, bites,etc.) Without this magical cream I'm lost..

Amazing multipurpose product, I can see all the hype about it is true!
I mainly use it for my extremely dry lips (best lip treatment ever!) and for my cuticles. Well worth the money as a little goes a long way (my first tube lasted me one year of daily use, no joke!) and the squeezable tube is very practical too.

I was recommended the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour skin protectant by my neices. They have used it for years for lip balm, dry skin booster and ezcema relief. I have a persistant patch of ezcema that flares up from time to time and this cream is the ONLY thing that relieves the itch instantly! It also relieves the itching of mosquito bites so take abroad with you for your holidays. The smell is quite antiseptic but you do get used to it and after all, if something does this much good, it's worth it.
