Mark Fast LFW SS13: Hair - Get The Look

Hair created by Nick Irwin, the Global Creative Director of TIGI

Hip Hop group Salt 'n' Pepa's hairstyles seem to be the main inspiration, and on talking about the hair itself, Nick stated that wigs had been used...

The wigs were first backcombed, shaved into place and then sprayed with plenty of hairspray. He wanted to use natural hair colours for the wigs, but definitely kept a strong focus on hair shape and outline.

Two key products that I noticed were used backstage were TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Look-Lock Hairspray and TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Volume Collection Firm Hold Hairspray. They definitely kept any flyaway hairs in place and provided the 'static' look that Nick Irwin wanted to create. A hairdryer was used to set the hairstyle in place.

The TIGI team had also created hair for Christopher Kane (earlier that day), amongst others such as James Long, Christopher Raeburn and Osman throughout the whole of LFW.
