The story of The Organic Pharmacy started over 25 years ago when Margo Marrone got a job as a Saturday girl in her local pharmacy. Fascinated by the rows and rows of amber bottles, she watched person after person come in asking the pharmacist for help on their various ailments and was enthralled as he expertly blended from the bottles lining those shelves. Margo decided to study pharmacy and six years later embarked on her career as a pharmacist specialising in herbal medicine, nutrition and well-being with a focus on natural medicine. It wasn't until several years later that she discovered homeopathy, a form of medicine that completely changed her life.
As a homeopathic pharmacist she was able to embark on a journey that has ultimately led to the creation of The Organic Pharmacy with her husband, Franco. As a mother of two, an entrepreneur and a wife, Margo knows how important it is to strike a balance and part of that balance comes from the very fact that The Organic Pharmacy is an extension of her own family life.
Whilst studying homeopathy she became aware of 'organic' and what it meant. Shocked by the level of poisonous pesticides used in our food and the questionable ingredients used in cosmetics, she decided to use her herbal, homeopathic and pharmaceutical knowledge to create a shopping haven free from chemicals found in other stores, a place where expert knowledge on well being, herbs and homeopathic remedies were readily available. The principles were very simple, the best organic ingredients, honest expert advice, quality service, incredibly effective products and a caring environment. She took the idea to her husband Franco whose design skills and vision turned The Organic Pharmacy into a modern day health and beauty centre.
The first Organic Pharmacy store opened in 2002 on Chelsea's trendy Kings Road and more London stores followed. In 2008 the first store in Los Angeles was opened. The Organic Pharmacy have stuck with their strong principles and pride themselves on the passion that they share for quality, efficacy and above all a dedication to the customers.
The aim is to bring you the best products, advice and treatments free from all the toxic ingredients commonly found in mainstream cosmetics and health products. From their herbal and homeopathic dispensary they custom blend herbs and homeopathic remedies to suit your needs.
