Founded in 1962 by designer Jean Bousquet, French brand Cacharel offers ready-to-wear clothing, accessories and fragrances. Cacharel is named after the local name of the garganey (Anas querquedula, a small duck) in the Camargue (cacharel, standard French sarcelle d’été).
Noted for its feminine and youthful fashion pieces, the house of Cacharel extended its image with the highly successful launch of Anais Anais in 1978. Cacharel have launched many more fragrances over the years including Loulou (1987), Eden (1994), Noa (1998), Amor Amor (2003) and Scarlett (2009).
