It’s nearly here, YSL’s highly anticipated foundation inspired by the revolutionary Touche Éclat.
Wind back 20 years and you’ll remember the launch of a little illuminating, complexion transforming pen; YSL Touche Éclat. Little did we know that it would turn out to be our daily staple product that still sits comfortably in our beauty bags today.
The uplifting and concealing benefits that the seemingly timeless Touche Éclat has on our complexion left us wondering why they didn’t create a foundation with the same formulation …well, now they have.
Welcome the most anticipated foundation of the decade, Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat.
“Without sounding like crazed super-fans (OK, we are…), this foundation will change your life! It contains the smoothest foundation formula we have ever tried. Expect a stampede for the launch.” - Look Magazine

If a small dose of Touche Éclat has a huge effect on our look, we couldn’t even begin to imagine what the full-face version would have. As much as we tried not to, we set our expectations very high.
Our expectations were met …in fact, they were exceeded.
Just like the Touche Éclat, Le Teint has a fresh, ultra-fine, silky texture that is in no way ‘masking’ but rather offers an illuminating result that our skin invites. With this great texture comes no compromise to maximum coverage – this is perhaps what we love the most. Available in 16 shades, it really does act like a second skin and provides that vibrant luminosity that has been so imperative on the catwalk over the past 3 seasons.
This though, is the really special part. Classic foundation formulas contain opaque powers that ensure a diffused reflection but these can create a dull, unnatural ‘mask’ effect. Le Teint goes where no other foundation has before by replacing the powder with a soft focus gel. It forms a diffusing and translucent film on the skin’s surface that smoothes away imperfections without ever masking the skin.
In short, we love it. Find out more about the foundation directly from its creator, Lloyd Simmonds here.
