Late nights, busy days and an excess of partying means we have to maximise what little beauty sleep we get. Here is my guide to ensuring the night before doesn’t have to show the morning after…

Beauty sleep DOES exist – research has shown that while the skin cells are focussed on protection during the day, at night the body clock switches on our repair mode, especially between 1am to 4am. So if you are dancing on a table at 3am the result is a pale, pasty and dull looking skin the morning after, alternatively you can trick your skin into thinking it’s had the full eight hours. I love DECLÉOR’s overnight night balms – with different essential oils for everything from detoxifying to dry skin. Use on clean skin in the early hours and I promise you a rosy, rested glow when you wake up.
Face oils are a real favourite of mine because if you chose a natural oil it sinks into the skin without leaving it greasy. Plus, nothing else leaves a dry, dull skin as supple, healthy and glowing the morning after. Try Trilogy’s CoQ10 Booster Serum with essential oils with essential oils, or Melvita’s natural Argan or Jojoba Oil.
Massage a few drops of face oil over a hydrating serum for the best face-plumping double whammy a skin can get - I love Nourish Relaxing Hydrating Serum.
No matter how late it is or how tired you are make the effort to take off the make-up and clean your face. Face wipes are not my favourite (they don’t clean deep enough) but needs must and I recommend Ole Henriksen’s Truth to go Wipes .
