From the ‘Rachel’ to the ‘Meg’, there has always been that hot hair style we all want to copy. And it’s no surprise that the ‘Cheryl’ is now the most asked for look at the hair salon – closely followed by the equally bouncy ‘Holly’.
Along with the other ‘most wanted’ hair styles of the Duchess of Cambridge, Jennifer Aniston (still a hair headliner) and Kim Kardashian it seems that irrelevant of colour it’s the same, remarkably similar look that they share. Long, effortless and loosely curled, it’s what I call ‘super model hair’ as no one wears it better than Giselle. And give or take a tweak or two it’s not impossible to do ourselves, especially when explained by Harry Josh the man behind every fabulous head of hair from Giselle to Gwyneth, Miranda Kerr to Helena Christensen. He tells me that after roughly drying your hair (upside down adds root lift), the trick is to use a hot wand or tongs to curl random sections – his secret is to curl the lengths (not right from the roots) and to leave the last two inches of the ends of the hair un-curled so the look is cool, not super curly.
Okay, I admit it; I am totally fascinated by those Kardashian girls, as much for their glamour as for their addictive TV show. So it’s beyond exciting to have the UK Exclusive launch of the Kardashian make-up range, and we got to speak to the girls to get them to share their beauty secrets. 1 Plump up dry, ‘flat’ skin with a hydrating mask – like Biotherm’s Aquasource Emergency Hydration Mask (tip: layer up for extra effect).
2 Make skin look great but natural (not make-up) with Garnier’s oil-free BB Cream – it’s not new but it’s still the best.
3 Add subtle shimmer on cheek and brow bones with Wild About Beauty’s super-pretty Ultra Dewy Glow Stick .
Talking of the hair we love, Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh has shared her beauty secrets with us at feelunique.com, including how to get that gorgeous healthy, wealthy Chelsea hair. Finally, a blast of warm weather which means a rethink of our beauty favourites as some creams, make-up and even certain scents just don’t seem to work as hot weather wear. For the lighter, cooler, pared down ideas for a mini summer swap-over, click here to read my Hot Summer Essentials.
A favourite with Rihanna, Eve Snow’s Nail Lacquers are ‘cleaned up’ of certain chemicals but are still long lasting and in great shades.
Swap your fragrance for Guerlain’s totally gorgeous Nerolia Bianca – the fresh, elegant breezey scent of summer.
Pixie’s Succulent Lip Twin is brilliant as it comes in a gloss and matching lipstick (that doubles as blush).
