For most of us the difference between feeling as confident in our swimwear as we do in our sun dresses, is down to just a few inches here and there. So for the fast track to dropping a few pounds we went to the pros that specialise in whipping A-listers into shape.
I personally follow what I call the ‘Marbs on carbs’ advice given to me by nutritionist Ian Marber, who advises cutting out carbs after 2pm (or after 12pm to shift a few more pounds) for two weeks - it’s my fail-safe pre-beach diet.
Celebrity trainer David Kirsch warns against post-gym ‘edible rewards’ as often you’ve burnt off fewer calories than you think and so ‘eat’ them all back on afterwards. 1 Comb through damp hair and then rough dry it, ideally with head upside down for extra root lift.
2 Finger-comb through hair and spritz L’Oréal Professionnel Play Ball Beach Fizz Salt Spray through lengths.
3 Curl random sections round a hot wand or tongs – leaving the last two inches of ends uncurled for a modern look.

As a self-confessed self-tan addict I have worked out my own ‘tan plan’ which keeps my (fake) colour going and glowing all summer long. Taken as a rolling routine over three days try this;
DAY 1 Scrub using textured mitts AND a good grainy scrub leaving skin soft, dry and lotion-free before applying self-tan.
DAY 2 Moisturise with a light lotion because while DHA, the tanning agent, is drying anything rich or oily lifts off the tan, leaving it patchy.
