Rita’s Red Lip...

With her trademark blonde hair, black brows and super-bright matte red lip, we love her cool update on that classic Marilyn Monroe look. The key is to keep everything matte (liner, lips, skin) and immaculate.

Tip

To get the essential matte finish to a favourite glossy red, apply and use a fingertip to dab away the shine and matte the colour down – simple, but it works.

Skin: A light but lasting base keeps skin looking flawless – especially when used over (or even under) a skin perfecting and mattifying primer (brilliant to keep on hand, you can just lightly dab it over any shine throughout the day).

Try: Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Foundation and Garnier 5 Sec Perfect Blur Primer .

Eyes: Think black on black with sharp black liner (liquid or gel) flicked out along the top lashes and blended right into the roots of the lower lashes.

Try: Rimmel’s Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner finished with YSL’s Ultra Black Lash Boosting Volume Effect Baby Doll Mascara .

To get the perfect ‘flick’ follow the angle up and outwards of the lower lash line – it works every time.

Lip: Go retro with a matching lip pencil and lipstick. First line the lips exactly on the lip line (don’t even think of straying outside...) and lightly blend the colour slightly in, then finish with an uncompromising shade of matte red – for lasting colour apply, blot and re-apply.

Try: Rough Dior Lipstick and Lip Liner both in 999.

Kate’s Hippy De Luxe

The perfect mix of 60s cool with 70s glam, Kate always makes Boho look beautiful.

Tip

Look for a pink or peach toned nude as brown beiges ‘flatten’ the features and leave you looking drained.

Skin: Think golden and glowing so layer up a skin perfecting primer with a radiance boosting BB cream and finish with a honey highlighter and cheekbone-chiselling bronzer.

Try: Dior Airflash CC Primer (I can’t live without this), Declor Hydra Floral BB Cream , Benefit Sun Beam to highlight and Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer .

Lip: Go for the perfect, pouty shade of peachy nude. To create that sexy lip balm effect (which is universally flattering) tap colour on with your ring finger.

Try: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Saved by the Bell .

Blend a dab of highlighter in a C-shape from the top of the cheekbone around to under the outer tip of the brow bone.

Eyes: Keep it neutral and smudgy with a shadow just darker than your skin tone blended around the eye, finished with lashing of mascara.

Try: Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara and Rimmel Scandaleyes Stick in Bulletproof Beige .

Georgia’s 70s Chic...

Taking more than a little inspiration from her mother Jerry Hall’s iconic look, it’s about full-on glamour and glitter.

Tip

Black liner and mascara instantly make bright eyshadow easier to wear.

Skin: Keep skin fresh and natural (too much base adds years on any one) with a hydrating foundation.

Try: Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation .

Rather than layering up concealer to cover-up, just use a second light layer of foundation where needed under eyes, around nose etc. It keeps skin looking real.

Eyes: If glitter brights are too strong for you keep the shimmer finish but in a bronze, deep purple, navy or black.

Try: Jane Iredale 24-karat Gold Dust Powder in Aquamarine , Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara , Wild About Beauty Kajal Pencil Duo .

Lip: Soft rosy pink looks more modern here than nude, as does tapping it on with your finger for a less ‘finished’ look’.

Try: Lancôme Rouge In Love in Rose’Mantic .
