Anne Hathaway’s coveted complexion

Proving that pale is still interesting (and that there is life away from the self-tan), this Chanel-clad Golden Globe winner wowed the Red Carpet with her flawless, glowing complexion.

A regular peel is essential for a flawless complexion; Ole Henriksen’s Lemon Flash Peel exfoliates and brightens the skin for a perfect base. Keep your make-up fresh with BareMinerals Foundation topped off with a hint of Dior Nude Shimmer for a gorgeous glow.

Jessica Chastain’s red lip

Deep, dark and matte, we applaud Jessica Chastain for her merlot lip stain – and for winning ‘best actress’ for her role in Zero Dark Thirty.

Get it right like Miss Chastain by prepping your lips with a soft scrub, like Bliss Fabulips before adding some lip balm. For the matte finish, apply your chosen lip colour with your ring finger and gently push the colour into your lips – or for a more matte finish, dust a layer of ultra-sheer translucent face powder over the top. For the perfect hot lips try a classic lipstick by Elizabeth Arden in ‘Mulberry’ or we love Maybelline’s new 24-hour Lip Colour in ‘Magical Merlot’ .

Eva Longoria’s perfect legs

Do you remember Angelina’s right leg moment at the Oscars in 2012? Well Eva Longoria’s left leg made a super-tanned, flawless appearance at these awards.

Before revealing yours, say goodbye to winter skin with a full body exfoliation (L’Oreal Exfotonic is the perfect mix for exfoliating and revitalising) an intensive moisturising session. Add colour with a fake tan of your choice – for a gradual tan it’s all about St Tropez or for instant colour and cover try This Works Perfect Legs – and finish by blending shimmer (Benefit’s High Beam is great) down the centre of thighs and shin to elongate and slim.

Amanda Seyfried’s mermaid hair

Long, wavy and effortless, Amanda’s hair deserved an award of its own.

Get natural movement with a texturizing spray like Wella’s Create Character Spray (We also love Redken’s Thickening Lotion through towel dried hair for even more body). Rough dry to boost body and then tong random-sized sections on your mid-lengths and ends. Finish with a drop of Schwarzkopf Silhouette Setting Spray to leave hair ultra smooth with a super strong hold.
PS… She revealed that she got her red carpet posing technique from Les Misérables co-actress, Anne Hathaway.

Sienna Miller’s no make-up make-up

The Brit beauty took her cool, confident minimal make-up look to the max.

Get her glow with a radiance boosting mask on cheeks (Try Decleor Life Radiance Flash Radiance Mask ) and a decongesting clay-based mask on t-zone (we like the Shiseido Purifying Mask ). Then just add definition with a subtle slick of black mascara (Diorshow Mascara works wonders) and a pop of peach blush (try BareMinerals Blusher in ‘The Aphrodisiac’ ) – and not much else because skin this good deserves showing off.

Clare Dane’s post-baby body

The winner of ‘best TV Actress’ for Homeland had a baby a mere four-weeks ago. And looking slim and svelte in her red Versace number, the post-baby workouts have clearly paid off.

Our top tip for a post-baby body is to focus on one key problem area. Mama Mio has a fantastic range of bootcamp kits which provide a great combination of skincare and exercises for everything from Tummies to Bums . Also invest in a gorgeous oil for a body smoothing treat, Aromatherapy Associates Renew Rose Oil is a firm favourite.
Trend Alert:

Forties fabulousness

Worn loosely up (Naomi Watts), down (Jessica Alba) or side-swept (Jennifer Lopez) beautifully waved hair gave the red carpet an elegantly retro feel inspired by Hollywood greats like Rita Hayworth and Ava Gardner. The look was also seen on other gorgeous stars like Nicole Richie, Megan Fox and Amy Adams.
We love.

Trend Alert:

Nude nails

In every shade of natural, from pale pink (Anne Hathaway) to nude beige (Hayden Panettiere), this hot catwalk trend was big on the Red Carpet. Groomed, glossy and neatly filed, nudes, pinks and beiges stole the show. Get the look at home with a base coat, three layers of colour (these colours are super-sheer so build colour up until you have the desired depth) and finish with a high-shine top coat.
