Confused by fragrance? Make-up artist and fragrance fanatic Terry de Gunzburg shares her top 5 really easy tips...
Mix old to get new
‘My mother taught me to mix fragrances to create my own signature scent. I like giving fresh fig a more intense edge by layering it with a few sprays of woody oud. By doing this, you can take old fragrances you own, combine them on your skin, and end up with a new and very unique signature scent – for free!’
Apply scent differently for day and night
‘Experiment with how and where you apply fragrance. For day, I like to apply it to my wrists and on the insides of my elbows whereas for night, I apply it directly to my hair to give the scent off every time I move or flick it’.
Stock up on samples
‘Beautiful perfume bottles can be very heavy and shouldn’t be carried around daily in your handbag. Buy your signature as a purse spray or go to a counter and collect a few free samples’.
