It’s one of the hottest trends this season and a firm fashion favourite amongst celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton. And for make-up it’s going to be your new gorgeous go-to summer look. In every shade from honey toned beiges to dusky pale pinks, nude is the colour you need to know about. It is all about understated glamour amd there’s a look to suit everyone – Georgina Hardiman shows you how…
Nude is one of the most flattering colours and works well on all skin tones to create that gorgeous, dewy base. Make sure you choose your colours depending on whether you have a natural pinky, creamy or honey beige skin tone.
TIP: Always prep skin first – use a hydrating primer or serum. The flawless nude look starts with good skincare.
Avoid super-pale shades (it looks too dated) but chose colours that perfectly complement your skin tone. Go for a satin or full on lacquer gloss finish but make sure you keep it shimmer and matte free – you’re not taking it back to the sixties.
TIP: Dab lip balm over your lipstick with your fingertip to pull the shade back slightly.
From shell to sand and ivory to beige, nude nails are a key trend right now. The secret is all about finding the right shade of nude varnish for you, pick colours that are as close to your skin tone as possible, just like when you’re looking for a new foundation.
